How is snoring treated?

In fact, snoring is a sound caused by the turbulent air flow that causes the tissues to vibrate during sleep. Snoring, like all other sounds, is caused by vibrations that cause particles in the air to form sound waves. The medical name treatment obstructive sleep apnea ın, which is a symptom of a serious illness which is manifested by the occasional stopping of sleep during sleep, how can snoring be treated?

When breathing, there is a regular flow of air between our nose or mouth and our lungs. Relatively low noise is produced when sitting and breathing quietly. When we exercise, the air moves faster and produces some sounds when we breathe. The reason for this is that the air moves faster in the nose than in the mouth, and this results in more turbulence in the air flow resulting in some vibrations of the tissues in the nose and mouth.

When we sleep, the area behind the throat sometimes narrows as the muscles relax or even temporarily close. The same amount of air passing through this small opening may cause the surrounding tissues to vibrate, which may cause snoring sounds. People who snore have different reasons for contraction. The constriction may be in the nose, mouth or throat. Palatal snoring is worse if one person breathes through the mouth or has a nasal congestion.

How is the treatment of snoring, which is more common in men than in women, and which can cause tiredness in the body, daytime weakness and insomnia, due to the power spent on breathing during the night?

MEDICAL TREATMENTS FOR HORMS

Your doctor or otolaryngologist may recommend a medical device or surgical procedure as follows:

Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP): To keep your airway open during sleep, a machine on your bedside blows compressed air into a mask that you attach to your nose or face.

Laser-assisted uvulopalatoplasty (LAUP): Uses a laser to shorten the Uvulay (soft tissue that hangs behind the throat) and to remove small cuts on both sides of the palate. As the cuts heal, the surrounding tissues harden to prevent vibrations that trigger snoring.

Palatal implants or Pillar procedure: placement of a small plastic implant into the soft palate. This helps prevent the soft wrist from collapsing to cause snoring.

Somnoplasty: Uses low radiofrequency heat to clean uvula and soft palate tissues that vibrate during snoring. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and lasts for approximately 30 minutes.

Specially fitted dental devices and lower jaw positioners: Helps you open your airway by bringing your lower jaw or tongue forward while sleeping. For best results, you should consult a specialized dentist on these devices.

Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP): Surgical procedures such as Thermal Ablation Palatoplasty (TAP), tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy increase the width of your airway by surgically removing tissues or by correcting abnormalities.

The narrower the airway, the harder the air flow becomes. This increases the vibration of the tissue that causes snoring.

The following conditions may affect the airway and cause snoring:

HOW TO PREVENT HORMS

To prevent or reduce snoring, you can:

- If you are overweight, lose weight. Overweight people may have extra tissue that contributes to snoring in the throat. Weight loss can help reduce snoring.

When you lie on your back, your tongue retracts into your throat and narrows the air flow, partially blocking the air flow. Try to plant a tennis ball behind your pajamas to avoid sleeping on your back at night.

Raising your pillow helps keep your head higher than your body, reducing the likelihood of snoring.

Adhesive tapes applied to the nose bridge help many people to breathe more easily by expanding the nasal passage area. The nose dilator is a hardened adhesive strip that is applied externally through the nostrils, which reduces airflow resistance and allows you to breathe more easily. However, nasal strips and external nasal dilators are not effective for people with OSA.

Having allergies or a curved septum may limit the air flow in your nose. This forces you to breathe in your mouth
